Trevor Carlton is an amazing painter and artist. He is part of the official Disney Fine Arts Program and his limited edition artwork is in Disney parks all over the world. He's particularly known for his performance painting!

This is an EXTREMELY rare chance to purchase an original painting by Mr. Carlton. And what a painting it is. It is of course of Mickey Mouse and is called "Vintage Mickey." It was painted in 2019 and measures a massive 60" x 48". Mr. Carlton has signed it on the front and back, and included additional hand-written notes on the back (see pictures).

The original owner saw a similar painting at the Epcot Food and Art Festival in 2017 created by Mr Carlton and reached out to him and commissioned this one. He even was able to choose this particular old-school eye-style for Mickey.

Biography: Monte Trevor Carlton was born in 1972 in Olympia, Washington. While he painted throughout high school, his first artistic passion was acting. Although he was offered an art scholarship, Trevor decided to pursue his dream of becoming an actor and moved to Los Angeles to attend the prestigious Lee Strasberg Acting Workshop.

Amidst the chaos of auditions and callbacks, Trevor paid the bills by working in a custom furniture store, specializing in antiquing and faux finish designs.  It was here that a style was born. Using reclaimed lumber as his canvas, Trevor started painting images of vintage Americana with subjects ranging from iconic celebrities to the famous Blues greats.

Using wood, albeit an unorthodox substrate, lent itself well to Trevor’s need to push the envelope and explore new avenues of artistic expression.  Soon he was perfecting his signature distressed style by painting a raw canvas to create the appearance of wood and then using solvents and sandpaper to give the piece an overall “distressed” look.

After numerous gallery shows in Los Angeles and private commissions, he has now combined his unique style to that most American of symbols, Mickey Mouse. Along with a series of classic lobby card paintings, he has also created a performance piece that is equal parts rock star and painter.  Trevor has had the amazing opportunity of performing this show and exhibiting his artwork all throughout the United States, Japan and the United Kingdom.

Entrance to Fellini Heaven!
I don't think anyone needs to justify the greatness of Fellini as a director or Fellini movies as the greatest movies ever made. It is another thing to have most of his movies in one collection and be able to see them in the order they were produced. Presently, I am in Fellini Heaven and Rota's music is in my head most of the day. It is the greatest movie experience of my 84 year old life. Thank you, thank you, thank you! As far as packaging, I am not happy with the weird packaging of these movies. Storage is going to be a problem! When package arrived as quickly as Prime usually delivers, I was disappointed to find two discs floating outside of their fastening. (I have played half of the collection and so far have not found a problem.) I guess trying to fit all of these movies into a package is going to present a problem, so I might understand the decision to package them as they did. If the disks are O.K., I can live with the packaging. Meanwhile, I truly love having most of his movies in one packaging and, thanks to Criterion, the most magnificent documentaries about each movie. Just with the movies I have seen, I feel a total connection with Fellini I never had before. I almost feel he is my spiritual godfather! Long live this genius!!!!

A must-have for any Fellini fan
When this was initially announced I was determined to add to my own library, however my economic situation at the time prevented me from buying it. It'd be a couple years before I finally had a little more financial freedom and ordered my copy. As noted in other reviews there was a common occurrence of discs coming loose from their little individual pocket and slide around free, potentially demanding the disc. This did happen to my order, but thankfully there was no damage. This a great collection, however there are a few exclusions that prevent me from giving it a full Five Star rating. His later films are not very good and feel like a great director falling into the pit of self parody. And the Ship Sails On is probably the worst of the entire collection. The disc devoted to a documentary on Marcello Mastroianni (which still haven't watched) seems like it's taking valuable space where an actual Fellini film should belong. I was hoping that they'd include Casanova, The Clowns, or even his last film, Voices of the Moon (which I still haven't seen). But that's the end of my minor quibble with these otherwise magnificent collection. I finally had in my possession all of his early films, a few a was seeing for the first time. I watched them in chronological order, beginning with Variety Lights, which he was actually a co-director and doesn't take much credit for. His early neorealist period was surprisingly good. I was so used to the period from Juliet of the Spirits onward that I thought I was going to be rather bored by these films. I was just happy to finally own a copy of Nights of Cabiria, which is still my favourite of his films. The collection also includes his contribution to an anthology film titled Spirits of the Dead, titled Toby Dammit. I was doubly surprised that it was not the dubbed version in which Terrance Stamp is dubbed by an anonymous Italian actor but retained his actual voice. The special features are plentiful and sound satisfy anyone who wants to appreciate the magic of Fellini. Criterion always puts out great quality releases and this is among their crowning achievements. Hopefully in the foreseeable future they'll release a box set of Luis Buñuel films.

A greatest hits collection by the greatest director
If you are a fan of Fellini, buy this and you will see some great films you may not have seen, together with some important early films that were not even releases in the US until years later, when Fellini was recognized as a master. Ask Martin Scorcese if you doubt that. The Criterion tranfer of the films to BluRay is wonderful. I concentrated on the early films first, and then dove into La Strada, but you can watch in whatever order. I was very aware of his incredible talent, but watching these makes me love Fellini films even more.
