Cloud 9 | Coco, Peat, Perlite

Cloud 9 is designed for seed and start gardeners who seek a fast-draining, inert blend that keeps plants at their optimum moisture levels. Ideal for hydroponic gardens and for growers who wish to control their feeding regimen.

Cloud 9 is a light, fluffy, inert soil blend with a pH of 5.8 to 6.2 containing only coir, aged bark fines, sphagnum peat moss, and perlite. Coir, aged bark fines, and peat moss work together to create small pockets of oxygen for optimal root aeration, while the perlite allows for excellent drainage.

Available sizes:

  • Pallet of 56 bags - 10 Gallon bags
  • Tote of 27 Cubic Feet

Ingredients:

Coir, sphagnum peat moss, and perlite.

Organic Potting Soil

Cloud 9 contains only low salt coconut coir, sphagnum peat moss, and perlite at a pH of 5.8 to 6.2. The coir and peat moss promotes growth by creating small pockets of oxygen for roots to access and work with the perlite to allow drainage during watering.

Seedling Soil & Hydroponic Growing

Directions for use:

Greengouses, Indoor gardens or starts: Plant seeds or small starts directly into Cloud9 potting soil. Fill pots loosely with soil and place small starts into the soil; packing lightly around roots. Water gently to soak soil and add more soil around the plant as it settles. For seeds it might be necessary to water first to allow for settling and then add sufficient soil to fill in low spots. Plant seeds and tamp lightly. water gently using spray bottle

Hdroponic Gardens: Cloud 9 is perfect for all types of media-based hydroponics including ebb and flow, nutrient tape, or just hand watering. Cloud 9 pairs seamlessly with any nutrient regimen.

Renew Existing Soil: This incredibly porous blend can be added to last year's soil to increase drainage. Most soilless blends will become more compact after a full growing season and Cloud 9 will add the porosity needed to allow for re-use of your existing soil.

Fascinating and beautifully written.
Format: Hardcover
Clear and compelling reading of the much-neglected history of Carthage -- all its histories had been written by the victors in Rome. BTEW y four-colour photo insert was missing a page....shame on Norton, the puboisher.

Excellent Overview of Carthage
Format: Hardcover
293 pages of text/maps/b&w figures; 8 pages of color plates; 15 pages of end notes (mostly citations); 20 page Bibliography; 6 page Primary Bibliography; 2 page Acknowledgements; 8 area maps; 1 battle map [Cannae]. This is a well written history of Carthage. It provides a one source overview of the background and history of the city/empire. As a reasonably well read layperson, I am familiar at an overview level with the Punic Wars, Rome, Alexander, and the Alexandrine successor states and this book packaged Carthaginian information very well while adding interesting information that I hadn't come across before. I was somewhat disappointed (hence the 4 star rather than 5 star rating) that there was a very limited drill down to a lower level of detail, particularly from such a noted author. However, this is probably an unfair criticism given the limited amount of archeological information available and the millennia of effort that has been spent in pigeonholing Carthage according to the desired perceptions. I recommend the book highly as a well written overview of Carthage.
