Produced from 1983 to 1991, the HM-2 Heavy Metal is a legendary pedal that has left its mark on the history of distortion pedals.
The chainsaw tone, achieved by turning all the knobs to their maximum, has firmly established itself as a core sound in Swedish death metal music. It has also garnered high praise from shoegaze guitarists who create thick walls of sound with distortion.
Driven by the passionate requests from these enthusiastic fans, BOSS decided to revive the HM-2 as part of the WAZA CRAFT series. With an analog distortion sound that perfectly replicates the original, and a custom mode with special tuning, the HM-2W was created.

Standard mode perfectly replicates the tone and response of the original HM-2. Setting all knobs to their maximum values ​​unleashes that iconic chainsaw tone. In Custom Mode, you can achieve a more aggressive distortion while maintaining the character of Standard Mode. The low-frequency and mid-high-frequency characteristics have also been readjusted, resulting in a sound that combines high density and clarity.
