They are smooth, easy to dust and look amazing in all lighting. They are packaged well so I had no missing pieces and no damage. Super strong hold and I love that the bottom of each shelf has a screw to secure the bracket to the shelf so they don't fall. Where I live, that is a major plus because we have a train that comes through regularly and they haven't loosened a bit. Super pleased with this product.
